Promoting Lifelong Learning while contributing to the strengthening and advancement of the integrated system that supports its implementation is in the focus of the EU funded project “Enhancing Lifelong Learning through Modernizing the Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education Systems”, implemented by the British Council and its consortium partners – the Adult Education Centre and DVV International, for the beneficiary, Ministry of Education and Science.  

The overall objective of the project is to establish a dynamic correlation between education and the changes that occur in the labour market, but also in the social sphere as a whole.

In the frames of the Lifelong Learning, both Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Adult Education (AE) are playing fundamental roles in raising the level of education and developing skills of young and adult, and by doing that supporting their employability and social inclusion.     

This project aims to help, support and strengthen the capacity of the national institutions in reforming the VET and Adult Education systems. The team has a strong determination to work on reforming processes as opposed to only delivering project outputs. Since the project is focused on strengthening the cooperation between the VET and AE Centres, all activities are well coordinated with the relevant institutions.

This project, while implementing all activities, pays particular attention to the inclusion of vulnerable groups and marginalized persons.  Cross-cutting issues relating to gender equality, inclusion of persons with disabilities, minorities and age are taken into consideration.
